Immunization Assessment Frequently Asked Questions

The "age as of date" calculates the birthdate range for the cohort.

A client's immunization status, for the purposes of assessing up-to-date status, is determined by the "assessment date." Immunizations administered after the assessment date will not be considered when determining if a client is up-to-date.

For example, if you want to assess children 2-4 years as of 1/1/2025, you would set the age as of date as 1/1/2025. If you want to only consider immunizations administered on or before 1/1/2025 you would set the assessment date as 1/1/2025.

Assessment cohorts are saved for 30 days. After that, the assessment cohort that you selected is deleted and you will need to create a new one.

Reports are saved for 14 days. After that, you must create a new report.

Any client your organization has reported data for in MIIC becomes associated with your organization. If you are not creating a list-based assessment, all clients associated with your organization will be included.

If your organization does not routinely manage its client population in MIIC, the assessment cohort may be larger than you anticipated. Learn more about client associations at Manage Clients.

There are two common reasons data may be missing from your generated assessment:

1. The data was reported to MIIC the day you created the assessment. Assessments reflect data reported to MIIC as of the day prior to generating the assessment.
2. The data was not received by MIIC. Sometimes data is incorrectly reported to MIIC or inadvertently not reported at all.

It may take a long time if your cohort is very large or you are creating an assessment during a high-volume time.

If the value in the status column does not change throughout the day, wait until the next day and try again. If the status still doesn't reach complete contact the MIIC Help Desk.

Use the adolescent assessment, which assesses up-to-date status for childhood immunizations routinely recommended after 2 years of age (e.g., two doses of MMR). You can create an adolescent assessment for any cohort of ages.
