Video Transcript:

The next common home allergen we will discuss is mold.

Mold growth is the result of excess moisture both inside and outside a home.

Any materials that remain damp or wet for 24 to 48 hours can support mold growth.

Mold needs to be removed because dead spores and mold particles may cause health problems.

But mold is not always seen. It can be hidden:

  • in wall cavities, or
  • behind furniture.
