Minnesota County Annual Health Statistics Dashboard

The MDH Center for Health Statistics recently launched a digital dashboard featuring annual county health data from 2021-2024.

The dashboard summarizes vital statistics data by state, county, and community health boards, including: 

• Births: Characteristics of mothers, teen births, prenatal care utilization, and birth outcomes
• Deaths: Death counts and rates by age and leading cause of death and age-adjusted rates for leading causes and premature deaths

In 2026, the Minnesota County Health Statistics Annual Report transitioned from PDF reports to a digital dashboard to improve accessibility, make data available more quickly, and provide easier access for those who use the information. Reports for years before 2021 are available biennially beginning in 1996 and annual beginning in 2003. To access these reports, please make a request to healthstats@state.mn.us. MDH will add reporting years before 2021 to the digital dashboard as time allows.
