Minnesota State Annual Health Statistics Dashboard

The MDH Center for Health Statistics recently launched a digital dashboard featuring annual state health data from 2021-2024.

The Minnesota State Annual Health Statistics Dashboard summarizes data available 12 to 13 months after the close of each calendar year. The dashboard includes statistics on:

• Live births: Characteristics of mothers, pregnancies, deliveries, and birth outcomes
• Fertility: Pregnancy, birth, and fertility rates
• Deaths: Deaths by age, sex, and cause; leading causes of death by age, race/ethnicity, rural/urban residence

In 2026, the Minnesota Health Statistics Annual Summary transitioned from PDF reports to a digital dashboard to improve accessibility, make data available more quickly, and provide easier access for those who use the information. Previous annual reports are still available but are not maintained. If you identify issues or need corrected statistics, please make a request to healthstats@state.mn.us. MDH will add data prior to 2021 to the digital dashboard as time allows.
