Rubella (German Measles) Basics

The best way to prevent rubella is for all children to be fully vaccinated on time. There are two combination vaccines used to prevent rubella: measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine and measles-mumps-rubella-varicella (MMRV) vaccine.
