Prescription Drug Price Transparency
Data & Dashboards
The Minnesota Prescription Drug Price Transparency Act (Minnesota Statutes 62J.84) collects three different types of prescription drug pricing information that it makes available to the public, including:
New Drugs: higher-priced new drugs—from manufacturers
Price Growth Drugs: drugs with quickly-increasing prices—from manufacturers
Drugs of Substantial Public Interest: varying lists of drugs identified by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH)—from manufacturers, wholesalers, pharmacies, and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs)
Submitted data are available via dashboards and downloads on this page and are summarized and analyzed through MDH publications (see Publications). Some data are withheld to protect trade secrets or because the determination that data do not meet the standards for trade secret designation has not been finalized.
