Health Care Affordability Advisory Task Force

The Health Care Affordability Advisory Task Force is an advisory group comprised of Minnesotans who pay for care—patients, consumers, employers, and other purchasers—and health policy experts. The task force meets at least quarterly to help the Center for Health Care Affordability (CHCA) shape strategies to make health care more affordable and sustainable in Minnesota.

The task force’s work is informed by considering state and national data on health care cost trends, heath care cost research and the lived experiences of Minnesotans who are impacted by rising health care costs. Grounded by evidence, it offers recommendations for actionable policy changes designed to help reduce the financial strain of health care costs on Minnesotans. Task force members also support the CHCA’s public events and communications to bring attention to the issue of health care affordability.

Meetings

All task force meetings are open for the public to observe and may also be attended virtually. Meeting information and materials will be posted prior to each meeting. Questions and comments for the task force may be submitted by email to health.affordability@state.mn.us. Please submit questions or comments at least one week prior a meeting so they may be shared with task force members in advance.
