Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Regulations
The State of Minnesota does not provide a credential for SLP Assistants or otherwise regulate assistant practice. The following regulations apply to SLP’s who supervise assistant personnel.

Effective July 1, 2025, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is implementing a new license for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants per the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, sections 148.511 to 148.5196.
