Sentinel Event Notification System for Occupational Risks (SENSOR)
The SENSOR Program investigated all work-related amputation injuries that occurred in the state of Minnesota 1992-2000. The goal of MN SENSOR was to reduce the incidence of amputations among Minnesota workers. SENSOR collected information about amputation injuries, investigated at-risk worksites, and evaluated the availability and use of machine safeguarding in select Minnesota industries. This information will assist industries throughout Minnesota in understanding the underlying causes of work-related amputations.
